Entity-specific permissions

Regulation begins with the legal entity.

ANNEAU Limited and ANNEAU–GESTIONS Limited are separate legal entities within the ANNEAU group. Each entity’s activities are governed by its own regulatory permissions, and the legal entity responsible for a service should be identified before any mandate is agreed.

ANNEAU Limited is registered with the Financial Services Commission, Mauritius, as an Investment Adviser (Unrestricted). ANNEAU–GESTIONS Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ANNEAU Limited, holds a Collective Investment Scheme Manager licence.

A licence defines the regulated activity an entity may conduct. It does not remove investment risk, guarantee an outcome or replace the terms, limits and responsibilities recorded in the relevant client agreement.

From licence to mandate

A clear regulatory pathway.

Institutional clarity depends on connecting the named service to the legal entity, its current permission and the mandate documentation.

01

Identify

Name the legal entity that will provide the proposed service and enter into the client agreement.

02

Verify

Check the applicable licence and current FSC Register entry against the activity being discussed.

03

Formalise

Record the mandate scope, authority, limits, fees, reporting and responsibilities in the engagement documents.

Regulatory clarity

Identity, permission and documentation.

Entity clarity

The proposal and agreement should identify the ANNEAU group entity responsible for the service.

Permission scope

The activity contemplated should sit within that entity’s current regulatory permissions and agreed mandate.

Ongoing verification

Public regulatory information should be checked when an engagement begins and whenever its scope changes.

Before appointing a provider

Three records that matter.

A concise review of these records helps an institution understand who is acting, under which permission and on what agreed terms.

Licence record

The FSC Register identifies the licensee, licence category and publicly available particulars.

Entity record

The proposal and contractual documents identify the legal entity responsible for the service.

Mandate record

The signed agreement records the service, decision authority, constraints, reporting and other agreed terms.

An institutional conversation

Begin with clarity.

We welcome a discussion about your institution’s objectives and the regulated service, legal entity and mandate structure relevant to them. We can prepare a tailored proposal or respond to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for consideration by your board, trustees, management or investment team. Any engagement proceeds only after the required checks and agreement of the relevant documentation.
